LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Bloomington, Indiana, man was arrested Sunday night after a pursuit on Interstate 65.

According to Indiana State Police, 23-year-old Joe Hacker crashed into two vehicles while fleeing a trooper on I-65.

Police said that around 7:30 p.m., a car nearly sideswiped a patrol vehicle while speeding. ISP attempted a traffic stop, but Hacker fled and a pursuit began.

Police said other drivers boxed Hacker in after he crashed into two vehicles. Hacker eventually stopped near the 61-mile marker.

Police said a Taser was used after Hacker failed to comply.

The vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen in Marion County.

Hacker was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail and faces numerous charges.

Felony charges:

  • Resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, Level 6 felony
  • Theft of a motor vehicle, Level 6 felony
  • Unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle used in a crime, Level 6 felony
  • Obstruction of justice, Level 6 felony

Misdemeanor charges:

  • Resisting law enforcement, Class A misdemeanor
  • Operating while intoxicated, endangerment, Class A misdemeanor
  • Theft, all other larceny, Class A misdemeanor
  • Aggressive driving, Class A misdemeanor
  • Leaving the scene of a property damage crash, Class B misdemeanor
  • Reckless driving causing property damage, Class B misdemeanor
  • Operating while intoxicated, Class C misdemeanor
  • Refusal to identify, Class C misdemeanor
