LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bullitt County Sheriff's Office says scammers have been calling people posing as someone with the law enforcement agency.
The scammers try to convince people they are in some sort of legal trouble and missed jury duty. The scammer then instructs the person to send money as a fee.
The Bullitt County Sheriff's Office said they will never call you and request money to avoid arrest.
If someone receives this type of call, they should hang up and report it to the Kentucky Attorney General's scam hotline at 888-432-9257.
