LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Campbellsville man was arrested Sunday after a fatal crash in Taylor County, according to Kentucky State Police.
KSP said troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Meader Street and Handley Avenue in Campbellsville around 4:13 p.m.
Howard Poling, 78, was traveling east on Handley Avenue in a 2003 Ford Expedition when he tried to cross Meader Street, according to police. Poling didn't see a moped traveling north on Meader Street and crashed into it, KSP said.
Johnny Dickens, 55, was riding on the moped. Dickens, a Campbellsville man, died at the scene.
Poling wasn't hurt in the crash. He was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide, DUI, possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle and other offenses.
He was booked in the Taylor County Detention Center.
