LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Christian County woman is accused of punching and kicking a sheriff's deputy while being arrested for driving under the influence.
According to the Christian County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called around 5 p.m. about a driver who was throwing liquor bottles out of her car window.
The sheriff's office said deputies found Kimberly Binder, 63, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, on Monkey Norman Road, where she was driving her rental car recklessly. The car was also damaged with what police said looked like sideswiping.
Binder was allegedly slurring her speech and had trouble maintaining her balance, leading officers to believe she was under the influence.
While being arrested, police said Binder made several threats to one of the sheriff's deputies and punched them.
Then, while she was being evaluated at the hospital, she kicked the deputy.
Along with DUI and assault, Binder is charged with resisting arrest, criminal mischief, terroristic threatening and disorderly conduct.
