LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Clark County Sheriff Scottie Maples is warning residents about scam calls from a person pretending to be an officer from the department.
In a Facebook post Monday evening, Maples said the sheriff's office has gotten several reports.
The person identifies themselves as an officer from the sheriff's office and says Judge Larry Medlock has issued a warrant for their arrest and demands payment over the phone.
Maples said the sheriff's office will never solicit any kind of payment over the phone.
