LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Clark County sheriff is warning residents about a phone scan.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Clark County Sheriff Scottie Maples posted a warning about scammers posing as deputies and demanding money.
Maples said in the post scammers are calling residents and claiming they've missed jury duty. The scammers then tell the person there's a warrant out for their arrest and request payment.
Maples said the Clark County Sheriff's Office will never ask for money over the phone. He also said if you do have a warrant, you likely won't get a heads up.
