LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was indicted for murder in connection with a fatal shooting in Louisville's Russell neighborhood.

Andrew Jackson, 24, was indicted for the April 13 murder of Wayne Woods, Sr. 

Louisville Metro Police said DNA evidence led investigators to Jackson, who is a new suspect in the case. Three men have already been arrested.

Police said 22-year-old Maurice Heard and 41-year-old Joseph Coggins were already indicted on murder charges. Lawon Bartlett, 38, was also arrested in the investigation, but was not charged with murder.

The shooting happened in the 2000 block of West Chestnut Street, near Dr. W. J. Hodge Street around 8:30 p.m. April 13. Once on scene, police found Woods with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to University of Louisville Hospital where he died.

Jackson is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, Dec. 15, at 1:30 p.m. He was already behind bars at Louisville's jail at the time of his indictment.
