LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The former chief of police in Bloomfield, Kentucky, is now on the wrong side of the law after he was indicted on several charges, including false reporting and tampering with physical evidence.

The indictment filed Wednesday said Harry Steven Cambron withheld information in an investigation and falsely accused another Bloomfield employee of "trading sexual favors for overdue bills" as well as stealing funds slated for the Crusade for Children.

Cambron, 67, also allegedly accused the employee of making unauthorized purchases on the city credit card, "knowing that it did not occur."

He is charged with tampering with physical evidence, falsely reporting an incident and official misconduct.

Cambron is not to leave his home between dusk and dawn except for employment, medical or family emergencies, according to the indictment.

His arraignment hearing is scheduled for March 7 in Nelson Circuit Court.
