LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Harrison County, Indiana, sheriff's deputy resigned Thursday after he was arrested on domestic violence-related charges.

Jacob Flaget pleaded not guilty to eight charges in a Clark County courtroom on Wednesday. A judge set his bond at $10,000 cash and ordered Flaget not to possess any firearms.

Police arrested Flaget for battery and intimidation after an incident in Sellersburg, Indiana.

At last word, Flaget is being held at the Clark County Jail.

Harrison County Sheriff Nick Smith said he suspended Flaget upon his arrest. He worked about one year for the sheriff’s department before his resignation on Thursday.
