LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was killed Tuesday afternoon in Santa Claus, Indiana, in a "suspected" murder-suicide.
According to Indiana State Police, the Spencer County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 12:17 p.m. from Jamie Adkins, 48, reporting she had shot her husband.
Officers from the Santa Claus Police Department, ISP and the sheriff’s office responded.
Authorities said they were initially unable to make contact with Jamie Adkins but when they entered the home, they found John Adkins, 49, shot to death and Jamie Adkins injured from a gunshot wound.
She was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky, where she later died.
