LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Jefferson County day care employee pleaded not guilty Thursday after being charged with child abuse, assault and other charges.
Brittany Richards, 30, is accused of grabbing a child's arm at a day care and slamming the victim on a table. The victim allegedly fell on the floor, according to the arrest citation.
The citation said Richards grabbed the child by the collar and dragged him out of the room.
Prior to the altercation, the child was recording Richards, who allegedly took the phone and deleted the video, according to the citation.
The victim's mother was reportedly contacted by the daycare to pickup the victim.
The citation stated that the child had swelling and redness on their foot from the incident.
The incident was caught on surveillance cameras at the day care and was given to the officers.
Richards' cash bond was set at $1,000 and she was given a no contact order with any minor children.
