LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man charged with a Labor Day homicide pleaded not guilty to murder Monday.

Louisville police arrested 40-year-old Charles Miles on Feb. 16 in connection to the fatal shooting Jamal Churn in September 2024 in Louisville's Algonquin neighborhood.

Police said Churn died at the hospital after Miles allegedly shot him on Moore Court on Sept. 2.

Miles is charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. 

The judge set Miles' bond at $100,000 full cash. His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 25.
