LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB/WKYT) — A Kentucky Department of Education official is facing a DUI charge after police arrested her last week in Montgomery County.

Kelly Foster, 52, was arrested and released from jail Friday after posting bond.

According to her arrest citation, Foster identified herself to police as a "big wig" who “operates the board of education for the state under Governor Andy Beshear.”

Foster is listed on the Kentucky Department of Education's website as the associate commissioner for the Office of Continuous Improvement and Support.

The office helps support schools and districts as they work to improve student outcomes.
