LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Kentucky man was arrested after allegedly stealing his ex-girlfriend's car while she was giving birth.

According to an arrest warrant, Christopher Mollette, of Martin County, came to a hospital in Pikeville on Friday to see the birth of their child.

The warrant says Mollette was told to sit in the car in the passenger seat to stay warm due to the hospital's visitation policies. When officers reviewed security footage, it showed Mollette got out of the passenger side of the vehicle, got in the driver's seat and drove away.

According to the warrant, Mollette later told his ex over the phone that "it was none of her business where her vehicle was" then hung up.

Mollette was arrested Saturday and charged with auto theft.
