LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A teenager was hurt after a shooting in Louisville's Portland neighborhood early Tuesday morning.
Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis said officers received a call for a reported shooting in the 2900 block of Duncan Street shortly after 6 a.m.
When they arrived, they found a teenage boy, who was believed to be 16 years old, with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Ellis said he was also alert and conscious and taken to University Hospital with no-life threatening injuries.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating and there are no known suspects at this time. Detectives are also working to determine what led up to the shooting and possible motives.
