LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man was arrested after hiding from police.

The Louisville Metro Police Department's Fugitive Unit located 52-year-old Michael McWhorter, a known "prohibited firearms possessor," around 3:40 p.m. Wednesday at a home in the 2000 block of St. Xavier Street in the Portland neighborhood, LMPD spokesperson Sgt. Matt Sanders said in a statement.

Sanders said McWhorter had an active warrant for not appearing in court on a felony gun charge, and SWAT was called to the scene to execute the warrant.

The scene quickly turned into a game of hide and seek after police discovered McWhorter was hiding in the house and got stuck in the duct work, Sanders said.

Sanders said SWAT eventually entered the home and arrested McWhorter. He is currently being held in Louisville Metro Corrections.
