LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is facing numerous charges after he was arrested for allegedly robbing several businesses near Hillview.
Keaontay McGhee, 23, was arrested March 8. That's the same day three businesses on Mud Lane were robbed by a man who pointed a gun at employees and demanded the business cash.Â
Police said McGhee entered the Zaxby's at 5025 Mud Lane just after 2 p.m. March 8 and placed an order, before coming back to the register with a gun and demanding cash.Â
Less than a half-hour later, at 2:33 p.m., police said McGhee entered and allegedly robbed Sanchez Bakery and Coffee Shop at 5016 Mud Lane. About a minute later, McGhee then reportedly robbed the Papa Murphy's next door, where he allegedly threatened employees with a gun before taking business cash and running from the location.
Police said officers caught up to McGhee about 20 minutes later in the fenced-in area of Craven Cars II at 5014 Mud Lane. Police said he had a large amount of cash, when he was arrested.
McGhee is also suspected of robbing the Tropical Smoothie at 5023 Mud Lane on Feb. 20.Â
Investigators said McGhee was advised of his rights before he admitted to robbing the businesses.Â
McGhee is charged with four counts of armed robbery. He was in arraignment court March 10, where a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf.Â
The judge ordered a $100,000 cash bond for McGhee and ordered him to have no contact with any of the victims.Â
