LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting nearly three weeks ago that sent a man to the hospital with serious injuries.
Jejuan Bradshaw, 41, is charged with attempted murder, wanton endangerment, assault, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He was arrested Oct. 18 in connection with the shooting that happened Sept. 30, according to court documents.
That's when the victim was dropped off at Norton Hospital, where he was transferred to UofL Hospital and taken directly into surgery with a gunshot wound in his back.
According to court documents, ShotSpotter had earlier detected two gunshots in the area of 1610 W. Dixie Highway, which police described as a club with a large crowd of people. The shooting was captured on video that was reviewed by police. The video showed Bradshaw following the victim "for several minutes before approaching the victim and firing one round."
The victim ran a short distance before Bradshaw fired another shot. Police said "multiple people were in the immediate vicinity of the victim and at risk of life-threatening injuries."
Police said an anonymous tip sent through "an open source Tik-Tok video" helped identify Bradshaw as the suspect.
The victim is still in the hospital on a feeding tube, according to court documents, and will continue to require "ongoing medical treatment for some time."
Bradshaw has already been convicted of several felonies. He was due in arraignment court on Oct. 19.
