LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville judge has set a $250,000 full cash bond for the man charged with murder after a deadly fight at a bar late Sunday night.

Christopher Foley, 29, was in court Monday morning for an arraignment hearing. He is charged with murder after allegedly assaulting another man outside the Corner Tavern on Mt. Washington Road Sunday night, causing deadly injuries.

Witnesses told police that Foley confronted the victim outside the venue, yelling that he owed him money. According to court documents, Foley can be seen on surveillance video throwing the victim to the ground and hitting him several times.

The victim died later at the hospital.

During Foley's court arraignment, his attorney claimed Foley and the victim "were mutual combatants," according to a witness at the scene. As Foley was turning to leave, "the victim got up and came back at him," according to Foley's attorney, who also claimed "another individual either shoved or punched or hit the victim and knocked him down, and the victim hit his head."

The judge declined the defense attorney's request for home incarceration or reduced bond.

Foley is due back in court on July 1.
