LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 38-year-old man was indicted on charges in connection to a 2018 fatal shooting in Louisville's Parkland neighborhood.

Louisville Metro Police said officers responded Dec. 17, 2018, to the intersection of South 27th and West Kentucky streets on the report of a dead body found in the area.

Police said a man in his 20s had been shot to death.

In an update nearly seven years later, police said Monday that a Jefferson County Grand Jury indicted Steven Williams on complicity to murder, complicity to robbery and persistent felony offender charges from the 2018 shooting.

Police said Williams was already in custody at Metro Corrections on unrelated charges.

Williams' bond was set at $100,000 and he's scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 24.
