LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville police said two officers shot and killed a man Thursday afternoon in Hurstbourne Acres.
Around 1:30 p.m., Louisville Metro Police officers responded to the 9000 block of Red Deer Circle, just northwest of Hurstbourne Parkway and Taylorsville Road. Deputy Chief Ryan Bates said a 911 caller said a white man wearing no shirt pointed a gun at a woman at the apartment complex.
Several officers responded, and they found the man. They ordered him to drop the gun before two officers fired, hitting the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Body camera video of the incident will be released within 10 business days, per department protocol
