LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was taken into custody after barricading himself in a home in Bashford Manor Friday, according to Louisville Metro Police.

According to court documents, police responded to a trouble run in the 3300 block of Bardstown Road. A search warrant was executed on both the home and Yerahmeel Castro's vehicle.

Police found numerous baggies of suspected crack cocaine, according to court documents. The baggies were individually sealed off in baggies used for resale. Police also found numerous individual packages of suspected marijuana.

According to court documents, police found an AR-15 inside the vehicle. The gun was loaded with more than 50 rounds of ammunition. Police also found several suspected bags of crack cocaine in the vehicle. 

After barricading himself inside the home, Castro complied with police and was taken into custody. 

Castro was charged with convicted felon in possession of a handgun, trafficking in a controlled substance - cocaine, buying/possessing drug paraphernalia and trafficking marijuana.
