LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man was arrested Tuesday night after an hours-long standoff with Louisville Metro Police.
The original call Tuesday reported a man was outside the caller's house in the 1300 block of Bridget Drive in Fairdale shooting a gun, LMPD spokesperson Sgt. Matt Sanders said in a statement.
Before police arrived, the man, later identified as Brad McKinley, 51, of Louisville, went back into his home.
Sanders said police obtained an arrest warrant. LMPD SWAT surrounded the house and proceeded to ask McKinley to come out. A little after 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sanders said after "a substantial amount of time" with no contact, SWAT entered the home and found the man hiding in the attic.
McKinley was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment. He pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning in court and is being held at Metro Corrections. Â
