Man hit and killed by vehicle on Thanksgiving night near Shawnee neighborhood identified

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man hit and killed by a car while walking in Louisville's Shawnee neighborhood on Thanksgiving night has been identified.

Arnaz Gill, 35, was hit by a vehicle around 11:30 p.m. Thanksgiving night in the 3400 block of West Broadway.

When officers arrived, they found Gill who had been hit. An ambulance was called, but EMS said the man died at the scene.

Police are looking for the driver of the vehicle that did not stop or render aid.

LMPD's Traffic Unit is handling the hit and run investigation. Police did not have detailed on the make and model of the vehicle.
