LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was taken to the hospital after being shot near a White Castle in downtown Louisville Sunday evening.
Aaron Ellis, a spokesman for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded to a reported shooting in the 100 block of East Market Street around 7:30 p.m.
Police found a man outside the White Castle who had been shot in the leg. He was alert and conscious when taken to UofL Hospital. His injuries are believed to be non-fatal.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating.
