LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting on Bardstown Road near Bashford Manor Monday evening, according to Louisville Metro Police.

LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said police responded to a shooting in the 3300 block of Bardstown Road, near Goldsmith Lane, around 5:34 p.m. Police found a man shot in the parking lot of a business.

He was alert and conscious while being taken to the hospital. Ellis said the man's injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Police are trying to determine a motive in the shooting.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit will be investigating the incident. Police said all parties are accounted for.
