LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Meade County man was arrested for allegedly trying to have sex with two juvenile girls.
Brandenburg Police were dispatched to River Road in Brandenburg on Saturday near Buttermilk Falls on a report that 30-year-old Robert Simpson was meeting with two minor girls, aged 12 and 13, with the intent to have sex with them, the arrest citation said.
The girls told police they had been talking with Simpson for months over the phone, planning to meet and have sex.
According to the citation, Simpson admitted to what he had done and provided police with a written statement.
Simpson is charged with procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means and unlawful transaction with a minor, and is being held in the Meade County Jail. He is due in court Thursday at 9 a.m.
