LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A truck driver was arrested after allegedly driving under the influence in southern Indiana.

According to Indiana State Police, a caller on Feb. 28 saw a Volvo semi pulling a trailer driving recklessly on Interstate 65 North near the 60-mile marker outside Columbus.

Troopers located the semi and saw it nearly hit a guardrail.

After an investigation, 64-year-old Rodney Sanford of New York was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated. 

Police found suspected marijuana and THC gummies, along with prescription medications, in the vehicle.

According to ISP, he was transporting a load of strawberries. Sanford was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail.
