LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana man was arrested on multiple counts of possessing child pornography.

Chad G. Heishman, 36, of Sellersburg, was arrested Wednesday by Indiana State Police during a traffic stop.

Heishman's arrest stemmed from an investigation by ISP's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that began in April.

According to ISP, the investigation was launched after the task force received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a "specific communications app account was potentially used to transmit child pornography images or videos."

Through their investigation, the task force collected enough information to obtain a search warrant for a home in Perry Crossing in Sellersburg, ISP said in a news release Wednesday. That warrant was served last Tuesday, May 20, and resulted in digital devices and "other items" being seized from the home.

An arrest warrant for Heishman was requested after investigators examined the devices and other items that were seized during the search.

ISP said Heishman was arrested without incident Wednesday during a traffic stop, with help from Sellersburg police.

Heishman faces five counts of possession of child pornography, all of which are Level 5 felonies. He was booked into the Clark County Jail around noon Wednesday.
