LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in southern Indiana are searching for two people after a man was shot and killed in the parking garage at Caesars Southern Indiana over the weekend.

It happened early Sunday morning, according to Harrison County Sheriff Nick Smith. That's when two men were waiting outside the casino for the victim -- now identified as 32-year-old LilDon Williams from Louisville. His family told WDRB that Williams is a hip-hop artist.

"We have a 6-year-old daughter together, who I now have to prepare her that she's not going to see him again," said Williams wife, Rannisha. "He did not deserve to get gunned down like he did."

Police said the suspects followed Williams from Louisville to the casino Saturday night. The suspects waited several hours for Williams to come out, and he was shot in the parking garage as he left the casino.

"A situation like this where an individual is tracked down, followed, targeted and executed is a different kind of homicide," said Smith. "It's a homicide that takes every little piece of information, and you try to piece it together and follow those leads."

Police said both suspects were masked and wore gloves, according to surveillance video reviewed by authorities.

After firing several shots, the suspects then stole Williams' silver and black 2013 Dodge Charger, Smith said. Police are looking for the suspects and the stolen Charger, which has black louvers in the back window.

"Our detectives are trained very well," he said. "They will continue and they will move forward until there is nothing else they can do to give this family closure."

Anyone with information is asked to call the Harrison County Sheriff's Office at 812-738-3911.

Smith said this is the first fatal shooting at Caesars Southern Indiana since it opened in 1998, and the casino has been very cooperative in the investigation.

Indiana State Police and Indiana Gaming Commission officers are assisting.
