LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana State Police arrested a man for shooting another man in Washington County.

Around 4:30 a.m. Monday, Salem Police officers found Jed Elliott, 51, in a pickup truck shot in the arm on State Road 56, near East Wallace Lane, just east of Salem.

Elliott was taken to UofL Hospital in Louisville and is expected to survive.

ISP said its investigation showed Tyler Dylan Gay, of Fredericksburg, walked up to Elliott with a gun while he was in his truck at his home. The two allegedly got into a fight, and Gay shot Elliott in the arm.

ISP said Elliott drove away before stopping on State Road 56 and calling 911.
