LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A southern Indiana woman was arrested for child battery after a six-month investigation.
Meranda Swim, 29, of Commiskey, is accused of battering two children under the age of 14 in Jennings County, according to Indiana State Police.
The agency's Versailles Post began investigating in August 2025 after the Indiana Department of Child Services received a report that two children had possibly been battered by Swim.
The investigation was presented to the Jennings County Prosecutor's Office and a warrant was issued for Swim's arrest. She faces four counts of battery on a child under 14 years of age and one count of neglect of a dependent.
ISP said Swim was arrested over the weekend without incident. She's being held in the Jennings County Jail awaiting her first court appearance.
