LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 19-year-old linked to a juvenile shot by a Louisville Metro Police officer earlier this week was in court Thursday on drug charges.
LMPD investigators said Julian Oyaro was with a 17-year-old murder suspect Tuesday when the 17-year-old was shot by an LMPD officer after he refused to drop a gun. Investigators said Oyaro was there when the incident happened on West Kenton Street.
Police said they tried to stop the teens, but they ran in different directions. The 17-year-old has been in the hospital since the shooting, but his current condition is unknown.Â
Oyaro is charged with trafficking fentanyl and heroin, tampering with evidence, fleeing from police, and possession of marijuana.
His bond was set at $5,000 full cash. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 6.Â
