LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman was hospitalized after being shot Monday night at a Wendy's on Dixie Highway.
LMPD spokesman Aaron Ellis said officers responded to a reported shooting around 10:40 p.m. at the Wendy's in the 8500 block of Dixie Highway.
When they arrived, they found a woman inside with a gunshot wound.
The woman, believed to be in her 20s, was taken to University Hospital after officers and EMS gave First Aid to her.
She was alert and conscious and her injury appears to be non-life threatening, according to Ellis.
LMPD's Non-Fatal-Shooting Unit is investigating the incident.
