BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WDRB) -- In 49 other states it's just basketball, but come Friday night most Hoosiers will be instead focused on football.

This includes the city of Bloomington, as Indiana is set to face Oregon in the Peach Bowl with a trip to the national championship on the line.

Wednesday, fans were preparing by stocking up on T-shirts and sweatshirts for the game. Some fans told WDRB they will make the drive to Atlanta on Thursday morning.

"Born and bred IU my whole life," IU fan Kathy Densford said. "It's great, it's amazing. It's the best and we are the best. We're going to prove it to everybody. Go Hoosiers, kick Oregon's a**."

A manager at Buffalouies on Indiana Avenue said at the watch parties they've been hosting, people are standing the entire game and erupting at every first down and touchdown from the Hoosiers.

Most Indiana fans are still in disbelief about the historic season.

"Every day I pinch myself and even I was at the bars the other day watching them win again and I thought, 'wait, we're beating Alabama, they haven't scored a touchdown?' So it's a lot of pinching and just wondering if this is real but it's like a dream come true," said Buffalouies manager Caleb Ely.

The excitement spreads across the whole state as multiple southern Indiana high school basketball games rescheduled their Friday games to give fans the opportunity to attend or watch the Peach Bowl.
