LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More sections of River Road will be shut down this week for construction as part of the River Road Project.

The work zone is near the intersections of Riverside Beach Road, Captain's Quarters Road, and River Creek Drive.

According to a news release Monday from the Louisville Water Company, signage for local access to homes, businesses and marinas will be posted on River Road. All restaurants and businesses will still be open.

From Monday to Wednesday, drivers should use Wolf Pen Branch Road to access Captain's Quarters Road. Then, from Thursday through Sunday, drivers should use Lime Kiln Lane to access Captain's Quarters Road.

Signage is in place to guide local access to homes, businesses, and marinas along River Road during construction, according to Louisville Water.

Drivers are advised to plan for delays.

The work is part of the ongoing River Road Project, which will continue through 2025 and into 2026. Officials hope to complete most of the construction along River Road by next summer.
