LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A short-term directional closure for the Sherman Minton Bridge has been scheduled for September.
A spokesperson for the Sherman Minton Renewal Project said in a news released that the eastbound lanes, which are from Indiana to Kentucky, will be closed at or after 10 p.m. Friday, September 13 and are scheduled to reopen around 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 14.
This will allow crews to remove the painting containment platform above the lanes.
The Interstate 64 eastbound entrance ramp from West Spring Street will also be closed along with I-64 eastbound to the Interstate 264 eastbound ramp.
Officials suggest taking the alternate route of I-265 and I-65.
