LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Adair County Public Schools said one of its students was killed in a crash Sunday morning.
The district announced Skyler Huckaby, an eighth-grader at Adair County Middle School, lost his life in a crash. Superintendent Jason Faulkner said in written statement Sunday that Skyler was a bright and kind student who brought energy and joy to the school.
Faulkner asked the community to keep Skyler's family in their prayers.
"In times like this, we are reminded of the importance of community, compassion, and coming together to support one another," Faulkner said.
Adair County Middle School will have grief counselors available this week for students and employees.
