LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some Jefferson County Public Schools students got a rare chance to talk with federal judges from across the country on Wednesday.
More than 20 judges sat down with students in Central High School's Law and Government Program.Â
About 100 students who are interested in pursuing a career in law networked with the judges. They asked questions and completed an assignment that simulated jury deliberation.Â
"It made me think about our amendments and the Constitution and stuff and how important they are," junior Cynvia Jackson said. "It was just interesting to hear a real judge's experience about law, being a lawyer, being a judge."
Three former Central High School students are currently judges in Jefferson County.
