LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Local teens got a hands-on lesson to help them explore careers in aviation and emergency services for free.
The Civil Air Patrol's 126th Falcon Cadet Squadron took off from Clark Regional Airport in Sellersburg, Indiana Saturday. It included orientation flights for cadets between ages of 12 and 17 years old.
The flight landed at Bowman Field in Louisville and cadets got to tour the Norton's Children's Transport Hanger. Civil Air Patrol operates the largest fleet of 560 single-engine piston aircraft.
According to a news release, all Civil Air Patrol cadets are eligible for five orientation flights at no cost to their families so they can explore careers in aviation and emergency services.
