LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville college is using a new platform in an effort to make sure no one gets lost on campus.

Jefferson Community and Technical College is implementing GoodMaps on campus, a platform located and founded in Louisville.

"The goal for GoodMaps is to provide navigation for all," Kevin Kline, with GoodMaps Community Engagement, said. "If you can hold a smartphone in any way, you should be able to navigate this campus."

GoodMaps allows students to get out of their car, key in where they're going, or what room number or office they need, and provides them with step-by-step directions.

"This is definitely interesting, because I moved here just like a month ago, so my first day here on campus I had like, no clue where to go. I had the wrong schedule and everything. This definitely would've helped me first day off."

The platform also has accessibility features for those who are blind or low-vision, deaf or low-hearing, or neurodiverse. It's also offered in over 18 languages.

GoodMaps can be downloaded through the Apple App Store by clicking here, or the Google Play Store by clicking here.
