LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jefferson County Catholic School students started returning to class a little over a week ago, and by Wednesday, they will all be back in school.

Superintendent Mary Beth Bowling joined WDRB Mornings on Monday and said she is looking forward to helping staff get back into their normal routine as well as helping students get everything they need for success.

Teachers did a lot of professional learning over the summer, according to Bowling, so they could figure out how to meet students where they are.

"If we can listen to our students, connect with them and teach them what they need to know to go out into society and be not only competent adults and contribute to society but have that value-centered thought process about how they're going to contribute to the world," Bowling said.

The district still has some teaching positions open. You can find those here.
