LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- School start times are on the agenda for Tuesday's Jefferson County Public Schools board meeting.

The agenda said the board will discuss keeping start times the same for the 2025-26 school year.

JCPS had nine start times last year and cut that to three for the 2024-25 school year. The board will also look at proposed calendars for the next two years.

An update is also expected on the search for a new superintendent, since Dr. Marty Pollio announced he would retire July 1.

JCPS may also discuss legislative priorities including a measure that would make it easier for retired teachers to return to teaching without penalizing their pension. Also, the board may consider allowing CDL or Commercial Drivers License tests to be taken in other languages to widen the applicant pool for positions including bus drivers.
