LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) administrator's post on X, formerly known as Twitter, has lawmakers calling for his resignation.
On Tuesday, JCPS Chief Equity Officer Dr. John Marshall made a post from his personal X account.
It reads, "A few young(er) Black professionals & students called me this morning & asked,"What's a strategy moving forward?" My response, "REGARDLESS of the rooms, meetings, classes, etc., you're in, know THE MAJORITY of whites could care less about you & have no issues harming you or yours."

On Wednesday, multiple Kentucky state republicans called for his resignation.
In a press release, lawmakers said, "This is an outrageously inflammatory public statement for anyone in a civilized society to make, but such speech is protected by the First Amendment—for a private citizen."
It continued, "such reckless speech inciting hatred based on skin color should be grounds for immediate termination. In the current heated political climate of America, it is absolutely unacceptable for a senior JCPS leader to stoke the fires of hatred and division... If Dr. Marshall does not tender his resignation immediately, we, the undersigned, call upon the JCPS Board and/or Superintendent to terminate his employment."
The letter was signed by Rep. Jared Bauman (R-District 28), Rep. Kevin Bratcher (R-District 29), Rep. Emily Callaway (R-District 37), Rep. Ken Fleming (R-District 48), Rep. John Hodgson (R-District 36), Rep. Jason Nemes (R-District 33), Rep. Susan Tyler Witten (R-District 31), Representative-Elect Chris Lewis (R-District 29), Sen. Julia Raque-Adams (R-District 36), Sen. Lindsey Tichenor (R-District 06), Sen. Matt Deneen (R-District 10), Sen. Mike Nemes (R-District 10), Sen. Adrienne Southworth (R-District 07), Senator-Elect Aaron Reed (R-District 07).
JCPS spokesperson, Carolyn Callahan said, "Dr. Marshall's social media post was not made on behalf of his employer."
Dr. Marshall has not responded to a request for comment.
