LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Are you smarter than a middle schooler?
It's science fair season, and students across the Commonwealth are proving they are capable of some serious science.
Sixth, seventh and eighth graders at Saint Francis of Assisi showed off their projects Friday, after months of research.
They tackled topics ranging from whether dye in candy affects children's brain development to building systems that will trigger immediate alerts to report wildfires. Similar scenes are playing out at schools across the area.
The best and the brightest will advance to the regional science fair at the University of Louisville on March 1.
