LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Elizabethtown firefighters moved back into a firehouse Thursday after it closed due to an infestation of spiders.
The city said it closed Station 3 at 1850 Ring Road last Thursday, April 30, after an infestation of brown recluse spiders.
The fire station was sprayed, fogged and dusted to get rid of spiders.
Two firefighters were bitten, treated and released. Another two firefighters were possibly bitten, a city spokesperson said.
The firefighters were temporarily working out of Station 1, which is about 2 miles away.
