LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A homeless shelter in Elizabethtown was forced to shut down for the week over illnesses.
The Room in the Inn Hardin County said it closed because of the number of volunteers and guests who are sick.
The shelter closed Saturday, and plans to reopen Friday night. Officials said residents were placed in a motel for the time being.
A volunteer said the shelter focused on cleaning the entire facility with the limited help available.Â
Monday, residents were helping out by doing laundry and planned to sanitize the rest of the facility.
