Sue Wiley, the first female news anchor for WLEX-TV, has died.
Wiley died Tuesday night after a crash involving five cars on Alumni Drive and Chinoe Road.
Wiley worked for Lex 18 from 1968 until 1998.
She produced and anchored the station's 'Noon Today' program, before pitching a public affairs program called 'Your Government' to the station's management.
For two decades, Wiley produced and hosted the show. She landed guests such as Ronald Reagan, Jessie Jackson and Jimmy Carter.
In 1999, Wiley was inducted into the Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame.
In 2017, she was honored with the Ohio Valley Emmy's 'Gold Circle Award' for her 50 years in television.
Wiley was 90 years old.
