LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- India Fest celebrated Indian art and cuisine at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville Saturday.
There were classical dances, a fashion show and a cooking competition. The theme for this year was bringing the community together.
There are around 12,000 Indian-Americans living in Louisville. The event was held by the Heritage of India Foundation.Â
"We have a lot of performances from different states of India," said Pete Patel, an event organizer. "So they will come to know the different culture from the different states from India and of course the food is the main essence of the event."
More than a thousand people attended the event.
