INDOT Construction Project, IMPROVE 64

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Indiana Department of Transportation is hosting a public hearing focused on a construction project.

Improve 64, a project planned in New Albany and Floyd County, is part of INDOT's strategy to reduce congestion and improve safety and mobility in southeast Indiana, according to a news release Monday.

The project plans to add travel lanes, interchange improvements, bridge and culvert replacements, new guardrails and concrete barrier walls on US 150 and Interstates 64 and 265. 

A public hearing will be held at the New Albany Floyd County Schools Educational Support Center at 2801 Grant Line Road starting at 6 p.m. Thursday. A presentation starts at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to enter through Door #1 of the educational center.

Construction is expected to begin in late 2025 and take around two years to complete.
